Just call me Chef
Chef Jodie is a woman on a mission! Despite her educational back ground and moving up and down the East Coast, she has settled in her 30′s and her inspiration is in high sight as a professional Chef to the Paw.
This charming lady has served time in many AAHA (American Animal Hospital Associations) clinics for over 10 years. Her solicitous engagement began as a child, sliding on slippery rocks grabbing any little creature within arms reach. After several bruised butt cheeks and swollen mosquito bites and years of growing up, she took her 1st baby step as a kennel attendant at a grooming -boarding facility into a more challenging career as a Veterinarian Technician and eventually beginning a new successful business venture offering a pet sitting service that paid for her to leave her home state, Virginia. Before she could say Goodbye, the animals packed the car and left from warmer days in beautiful Savannah, Georgia.
As fortune would have it, her academic pursuits landed her into the Southern Savannah hospitality. Jodie began her study with primates working on an Island among other endangered animals of Madagascar. After stints in Georgia working with various wildlife, Jodie packed all of her worldly possessions into an old car and left Georgia with her handi-capped dog, Ember and at that time, two drooling kitties.
After devising a business plan in an ol’ historic basement in Richmond, Va., Jodie emerged a plan by enrolling into Le Cordon Bleu, graduating top of her class; Summa Cum Laude in 2004. Jodie has literally held every position in the restaurant business from prep, to saute, to grill, to executing and running an award-winning, local restaurant here in Downtown Orlando. Once Jodie realized her wishes could be granted, she combined two careers into one. Under her watch, the company has grown from one client to many tail-wagging customers asking and shaking for more gourmet home cooked meals.
Her keen appreciation of lovely weather, wildlife and food landed her in Central Florida, where many of this country’s most accomplished produce have set up cultivation, allowing ample opportunity to combine her passion with her work… Chef to the Paw.
